John-Michael Bloomquist is a poet and public servant in the DC area. He has taught a wide range of students, from ELL students of all ages, to university students, and high school students. He volunteered with the Peace Corps in Mexico in 2019 and volunteered in US jails as a poetry facilitator. His poems have been published in several literary journals and his first book has been released.
