Barry Smith grew up in a great little town of Westwood, Massachusetts. He became the Vice President for the class of 1973 which was very rewarding to him. He went to school in Florida for political science and returned after one year. After that, he traveled to Texas and became a welder at a Chemical refinery. After a few years in Texas, he returned home and worked as a production welder where we created massive tankers which are in use today. Getting the travel itch again, he moved to California and with his talents in welding worked in a shipyard, buildingl high tech Navy destroyers for the US government. When the destroyers were completed, he returned to Massachusetts and worked on a Navy ground base facility. He then transferred to Goddard Space Flight Center where he worked for 30 years doing space flight work for NASA. Today he is retired and living on Cape Cod Massachusetts.
