Digna Rivera Rios
Digna Rivera, Rios is a Science Teacher of the Department of Education of Puerto Rico. She has worked as an educator and resource in seminars and guide in educational trips. She has also worked as coordinator for NASA SOI Camuy Camp and has been an educator workshop for NASA MEI. She belongs to the focus group of the Department of Education and is also the Entrepreneurship and technology coordinator at the Luis F Crespo school. She is a certified cooperating teacher for student teachers in practice. She directs Puerto Rico Science Teachers Association and belongs on the board of Kappa Delta Phi. She also belongs to the Civil Air Patrol, NSTA, CSTA, AECT among several organizations. She is a Doctor in Education with specialization in Instructional Technology & Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University. She has a master's degree in Science Instruction, Curriculum & Technology from Nova Southeastern University and a specialization in Biology Curriculum - Interamerican University Arecibo, PR. She has an Education Certificate (Physics and General Science) from Puerto Rico University-Utuado and a B.A. in Secondary Education (Biology) from Interamerican University Arecibo. She is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. In 1995, Digna received a recognition and dedication of the graduating class at San Pablo Academy. She was selected as Leading Lady Award in 1999 in the municipality of Quebradillas where she lived for 25 years. In 2006 she received recognition and dedication at the Hatillo Music Voice Festival. In 2016, she was recognized by NASA KSC with Crawlerway Rock.
