Solar System Ambassadors
Roni Pavick
Roni Pavick grew up on Florida's Space Coast, where her entire family worked for the space program at Kennedy Space Center. Her grandfather was one of the original rocket scientists for NASA. Growing up during the wonder years of the space program had a strong impact on her. Those first rocket launches ignited a great desire to explore space, and bring everyone else along for the journey. As an Art and Astronomy Educator, she helped to develop the S.T.E.A.M. program for Boston Public Schools. She often uses the arts as a medium for creative presentations about space exploration (past, present, and future). She teaches astronomy, in collaboration with Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, providing students with the opportunity to explore space through telescopes and astrophotography. She has given many lectures on space, in a variety of venues, and has curated exhibitions for both Harvard and NASA. She has made it her mission to share and ignite a passion for space exploration.
