Lisa Gethard is an informal educator, mentor and tutor. She collaborates with community partners to provide tools, skill-based volunteering for students residing in underrepresented and underserved areas. She is an advocate for youth apprenticeship programs, STEAM curriculum and soft-skills learning She spent her prior years as product manager in corporate finance and as a marine science education specialist providing Education to K-12, researchers, scientists and at-risk students from inner cities to the Atlantic Ocean and seashore. Her passion and respect for the ocean, space and technology has remained instilled with her core values that she shares with others through education and community engagement of STEAM.
