Dee Chester fell in love with space! How cool that a human was in a capsule, sitting on top of an 85-foot rocket, about to be launched into space. She had found her passion! She started collecting and learning about NASA, meeting and working with many Astronauts. Her experiences include viewing Space Shuttle launches and landings. She was museum curator of a gallery of space that included all of the manned spacecraft and a portable planetarium. She developed workshops for educators and programs for students. In her spare time, she works as an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteers with Costa Mesa Fire and Rescue as a Fire Corps member, instructor in the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program and CERT Advisory Committee member.
