Crystal Bishop
Crystal Bishop began her career in higher education administration and then into low income housing management. Her time spent in higher education prepared her for the challenges facing students, and her low income housing experience taught her the needs and obstacles of people disadvantaged by various circumstances. Eventually after graduated college and pursuing various interests including teaching, she accepted a position as a NASA Aerospace Education Laboratory Coordinator. In this position she is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and assessment of STEM programs and outreach initiatives as part of the WVSU CASTEM NASA AEL and STEM program. The program affects communities throughout central and southern West Virginia and as a result of her position with WVSU over the last decade, she has been rewarded with incredible learning experiences and opportunities. She has learned that by promoting the STEM movement with an educational NASA program is an awesome opportunity for West Virginians and to be involved is absolutely exciting. These programs and activities continue to impact the landscape of state politics, education and economics. What a legacy NASA provides!
