Esther Trevino
Esther Trevino is an accomplished financial analyst. Her educational background includes Hofstra University and FIDM in Los Angeles, degrees in Business Administration and Management, and Merchandise Marketing. Outside of work, she caters to STEM outreach, primarily with children. Her outreach includes Girl Scouts of America, non-profit organizations, major companies, and hospitals.
In particular she focuses on topics like the sustainable development of becoming an interplanetary species, rocket launches, ISS news and accomplishments, and NASA careers. Her interest in communication stems from her goal of sharing the importance of space science to large audiences. Esther’s fascination with space science comes from her childhood by looking up to Carl Sagan, and always wanting to know more about the universe. She firmly believes that the more we learn about the universe, the more we learn about ourselves.
Esther is open to challenges, conversations, and an exchange of ideas when conducting SSA outreach events. Her outreach with the youth is important to her because she wants to inspire children who will hopefully, one day, become NASA decision-makers and thoughtful leaders in the STEM industry. She strives for kids to understand that in this industry there will always be obstacles, but that’s just part of the fun that comes with space science. This chance for advancement generates a unique kind of hope making it all worth it.
