Khelsea Rantanen is a reference librarian in the Florida Panhandle. Her interest in space exploration was sparked by watching science fiction TV shows with her father. Her introduction to the night sky began at four years old when her grandparents showed her the moon through a telescope. She spent many nights stargazing with her family and continued watching the night sky for satellites and meteor showers during college. Khelsea holds a Master of Science in Library Science and Information Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Japanese Languages from Florida State University.
