Rob Pettengill received his first telescope when he was eight. He's been a lover of the night sky ever since. He started training to be an astronomer, but ended up designing integrated circuits, writing software and raising a family. Now he's an astrophotographer, specializing in images made with ultra-light equipment. His passions are to create digital images and techniques that capture the extraordinary range of light and space in the heavens as high definition, high dynamic range, images.
