Starting a long-time interest in space exploration Michael attended Space Camp in 1994. This led to a lifelong interest in space exploration and all things aerospace. A graduate of Lewis University with a bachelor's degree in Aviation and two associate degrees from Community College of the Air Force in aviation space technologies. Currently, he pursuing his master's degree in space operations with Embry Riddle Univerity. Michael is a former Air National Guard Aviator who currently serves in space operations. Michael is also the Director of Aerospace Education for Civil Air Patrol's Illinois Wing. In his daily life, he works for SpaceX at Kennedy Space Center. In addition to being a Solar System Ambassador, Michael is an alumnus of several NASA Social events and an active private pilot.
