Cesar Lopez developed an interest in science from his parents and teachers. He found that helping classmates understand science and math gave him a great deal of satisfaction. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico, he became a management consultant assigned to aid economically endangered companies to change their operations in order to succeed. Retraining aided the employees to achieve necessary goals. He had the opportunity to travel and work in England, Mexico and parts of the United States. He has seen many different cultures with the same human need to learn and improve their quality of life. Once he was back in Puerto Rico, he started designing educational programs for individuals with disabilities. Technology assistance was an important aspect of these programs. After completing a Master's Degree in Education, he started preparing teachers at a private school system and worked part-time as a science teachers. He is currently a director at a private vocational and secondary school for marginalized students. Science, technology, engineering and math are the focuses of the modification of the curricula that he promotes for the school teaching model. He has become an amateur astronomy student, reliving his space exploration dreams. As a Solar System Ambassador, he wants to contribute the best of his knowledge to help students become interested in space exploration and other science careers.
