Ron Behee
Ron Behee earned his bachelors and masters degree in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly University. He did two years additional engineering graduate studies in the Ph.D. program at Arizona State University where he later taught engineering. He also taught engineering at four other colleges. Ron worked in the aerospace world for over 40 years before recently retiring. He has worked and provided support for many NASA projects such as an X-ray space telescope and the new James Webb Space Telescope. He also worked on the design of a Mercury orbiter. Ron started a company that produced simulation software used to design aerospace products and spacecraft and ran this company for 20 years. During this time he taught classes to NASA centers, the European Space Agency(ESA), various government space centers, and at aerospace companies in about 2 dozen countries. Now in his retirement, Ron is giving lectures on emerging technologies and space science. He has also started developing mobile apps to help motivate kids to explore science. His multimedia presentations to groups include demonstrations of the latest virtual reality technology to explore space in a virtual world.
