Dany Waller is a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University in Applied Physics. She studies magnetic anomalies on the Moon in ultraviolet and visible wavelengths at the JHU Applied Physics Laboratory. She is a Physics Policy Advocate with the American Physical Society and volunteers as a science policy advisor. Dany has a B.S. in mathematics and a B.A. in physics from the University of Kentucky (UKy) where she specialized in planetary geophysics and mathematical physics. She is a former UKy Sigma Pi Sigma (SPS) president and founded the UKy Association for Women in Mathematics and Physics (AWMP). Dany is also an avid science fiction fan, gardener, and swimmer. She loves visiting historical sites in Maryland and building science demonstrations in her spare time.
