Through volunteer initiatives, Katherine Troche spends her time conducting astronomy-related outreach via social media, public observing (sidewalk astronomy), and for various organizations and institutions throughout the five boroughs. Her primary focus is to engage and educate the general public by coordinating virtual and public viewings, as well as informative lectures focused on topics and events relevant to astronomy and space exploration, in the hope of cultivating an interest in STEM and STEM related science.
