Solar System Ambassadors
Elizabeth Treat
Growing up in the Washington DC area, Elizabeth visited her favorite Smithsonian, the Air and Space Museum, as often as possible. Her dreams of becoming an astronaut didn’t come to fruition, but she continued to love and learn about space exploration. After getting a BA in history from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, Elizabeth returned to the east coast for graduate school, with research stints in Scotland. Eventually she landed back in Northfield and switched careers. Completing her elementary education coursework at Augsburg College, Elizabeth received her teaching license in 2012. She never lost her fascination with space, creating and implementing space science curriculum as an assistant teacher. Elizabeth is excited to share her love of space science with the Northfield community and beyond. She is happy to travel just south of the Twin Cities Metro area andl beyond to share the wonders of NASA and space with her fellow Minnesotans.
