Taylor Peterson is a fine artist and space enthusiast based in Denver, Colorado. She was born in northeast Florida, where she grew up viewing rocket launches from her driveway. This close proximity to Cape Canaveral heavily influenced her interests, and in 2014 she attended her first NASA Social at Kennedy Space Center. Inspired by the interaction between art and space science, she joined the NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassadors team in early 2018. Taylor continues to use the connections between space and visual arts within her curriculum, teaching art to students in grades K-8, and running several after-school STEAM-based clubs.
