Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Hilda Pereyo’s interest in space began with a childhood visit to the Arecibo Observatory. She earned her B.A. from Wellesley College and her M.A. in Education Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Her commercial flight experience includes international aircraft delivery as well as various air missions for Civil Air Patrol. She has 5 years business experience working for an International mass media and entertainment conglomerate. Hilda has 17+years of formal and informal teaching experience. She believes the fun part of learning is "going beyond classrooms and textbooks to make a real world connection". Her areas of expertise include STEAM and Aerospace curriculum program development, implementation and assessment for K-12 setting. She currently participates and manages Aerospace Education programs at state, region and national level with organizations such as FIRST Robotics, NASA and Civil Air Patrol. She offers programs in multiple languages if requested.
