Janethsi Ostaiza-Cedeno has two Bachelors's degrees, one in Economics, and a second in Modern Languages with a specialty in French and Francophone Studies and a master's degree in Linguistics. She moved into the US when she married her husband around twelve years ago. She has been an active member of Sociedad de Astronomía del Caribe (SAC) since 2015., entity of which she had the honor of being president of the Board of Directors for the past 3 years. Both she and her husband continuously attend the various activities organized by SAC providing their personal telescopes, equipment, and knowledge for the general public to enjoy.
