Frank Nelson is an amateur astronomer that has been looking at the night sky since he was six years old. Having been shown the wonder of the night sky, and remembering that feeling of awe and wonder, is why he does outreach. I focus my outreach on visual astronomy. Being able to look through a telescope and see, with your own eyes, a planet, or a star cluster, or a galaxy brings the wonder of the universe down to earth. Visual astronomy is also a direct link to our past, people using only their eyes and brains to figure out who we are and where we are. He will also encourage you to go see the total solar eclipse in 2024! He is looking forward to sharing the night sky with the people of Montana in 2020!
