Emily Lehnardt first "gravitated" towards the exciting world of space exploration during a high school lecture about black holes. From that moment, she has actively pursued anything space related. Most recently, she created the Utah Women Astronomical Society which focuses on STEM and astronomy outreach. Her love of knowledge, exploration, and space is contagious, and, for her indefatigable talent for teaching, Emily's school awarded her Teacher of the Year, 2017. She was also awarded Utah Science Teacher Association's 2021 6th Grade Science Teacher of Year award. Additionally, she has a Master's degree, loves to travel, and loves sharing her passion about space exploration with others.
