Virginia Jones started her life as a science educator teaching Earth Science at the middle school and high school level and continued on that path for 34 years. Most of that time was spent in Idaho Falls, Idaho in the Bonneville School District. During that time, she had the opportunity to work as an Education Officer on the JOIDES Resolution, a scientific drilling ship. She also worked with the NASA education program for the MESSENGER mission and New Horizons. Ms. Jones is currently working at the Idaho Museum of Natural History as an education specialist.She enjoys working with all ages and sharing her love of science and nature with her community. You can find her hiking or snowshoeing on weekends with her dog enjoying the natural world. She also spends many days on the slopes as a volunteer ski patrol.
