Since he discovered Saturn at 10 years of age with a backyard telescope, Mark Johnston has been determined to learn as much as he can about astronomy and share it with others. An award-winning astronomy speaker and astrophotographer, he has given hundreds of public outreach programs, and many thousands of people have looked through his telescopes to see the wonders of the universe. In addition to being a Solar System Ambassador, Mark is Vice President of the Phoenix Astronomical Society, holds a Master of Outreach from the Astronomical League, and is an accredited cruise ship speaker on Astronomy and Space Exploration topics.
