Janie Henderson has been an educator in the Fort Worth area for many years. As an instructional technologist she encourages and supports the use of technology in the classroom. She has developed creative ways to integrate her passion for space science into her daily responsibilities by promoting special events ranging from classroom events to district-wide events such as Explore the Moon and The Solar Eclipse Project. She also has developed and sponsored student after-school programs such as Earth Crew, Solar Eclipse Ambassadors, and Robotic Clubs. Janie hopes to reach out to her community to build an awareness of NASA programs and inspire young people to pursue careers in STEAM fields.
