Stephanie Hanover
Stephanie is a middle school Earth and Space science teacher. She also teaches upper school engineering and mentors the school maker space and a competitive engineering club where students participate in various competitions including rocketry, robotics and space related challenges. She is passionate about space exploration and discovery and incorporates this into classes and public activities as much as possible. Ever looking up, she works to keep up with the latest space happenings and spread the news or create activities working to inspire the next generation of space adventurers. Stephanie is a Space Foundation Teacher Liaison dedicated to inspiring others about space exploration and discovery. Stephanie has participated in a number of Space STEM programs including NASA Middle School Aerospace Scholar, Texas Space Grant LiftOff Teacher Program (multiple years), MIT Science and Engineering Program for Teachers, is a Honeywell Space Academy for Educators Alumni, and has also completed the McDonald Observatory Summer Solar System program, Galileo Teacher Training Program and numerous NASA hosted events such as Space Exploration Educators Conference and NASA's STEM Education Professional Development Collaborative. Additionally, she has been a STEM Mentor for education students at Texas A&M University. She has collaborated with Texas A&M on several STEM projects for teachers and students. She is also the outreach coordinator for her local astronomy club.
