Keonda "KG" Gaspard is an avid lover of the universe. Her passion for astronomy began in childhood and became more than a hobby while she attended El Camino College. It was there that she knew she wanted to expand her knowledge of cosmology and ethnoastronomy. The graduate of The University of Chicago, studied under many of today’s astronomy leaders, including her thesis advisor nobel laureate Dr. Peter Vandevoort and Dr. Rocky Kolb. She has been selected to attend NASA Social’s six times and has visited many NASA facilities. Keonda has published two books on music education and a short film/book on Afro-Astronomy. She is a Education Specialist in Brooklyn.
