Solar System Ambassadors
Sara Feilzer
Sara has always been fascinated with space since she was young and used to watch old Star Trek episodes with her dad. As she grew up, she never lost that curiosity for the unknown and even considered for a brief time becoming an astronaut! Plans changed, but she continued in the sciences, eventually receiving her degree in biochemistry from the University of Montana. While in school at UM she became fast friends with some of the astronomy and physics professors and students and started to be involved with a few of the Montana Space Grant Consortium's events. Today, she shares her enthusiasm for learning with the students and parents of Helena, Montana at local science museum where she plays with robots, builds things with a 3D printer and blows up watermelons (safely) to wow the public and get them to ask questions about the universe around us.
