Tina CoyneSmith is a Stargazer born four months before the Apollo moon landing and she has been inspired by space exploration ever since. Professionally she serves as the Director of Development and Prospect Management for a Foundation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she runs the Board of Directors. Prior to her Foundation work, she taught literature, grammar, and writing. She earned her BA in English from Loyola University in Maryland and her MA in English from the College of William & Mary. She spends her free time studying the stars, volunteering in the Chapel Hill Carrboro Public schools, managing her children’s sports teams, and reading everything she can about NASA missions. She can most frequently be found at a bookstore, local school, or Morehead Planetarium on the UNC-CH campus.
