Dr Ralph Covino is the Coordinator of Student Voice & Scholarship, Director of the Tucker Fellows program, and an award-winning teacher of Ancient History, Human Geography, and Latin at the Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, TN. In recent years, he received the Tennessee Geographic Alliance’s Tom and Stella Mullane Geography Teacher of the Year Award, was named a National Geographic Education 'Educator of the Week', and was chosen to be a Fellow of the Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development at the University of Iowa. He has been an American Geographical Society Teacher Fellow and a Fellow of the Global Action Research Collaborative of the International Coalition of Girls' Schools. In addition to his volunteer work as a Solar System Ambassador, Dr Covino has served in leadership and service roles in the South East World History Association, the International Coalition of Girls' Schools, the Association of Middle Level Education, the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools.
