Dr Ralph Covino is an Ancient Historian who has lectured about the ancient Romans to audiences across the world ranging from primary to postgraduate students and community members. He is currently the Dean of the Junior Class and an instructor in History and Social Sciences as well as Latin at the Girls Preparatory School of Chattanooga, Tennessee, one of the nation's largest non-sectarian girls' schools. Prior to joining GPS, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the History Department and University Honors Program; there he won awards for his outstanding teaching and advising. Selected as a Faculty Fellow, as a "master teacher" he trained other professors to improve student learning outcomes through the integration of popular culture materials into their curricula.
