Sharalyn Castro is currently attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas seeking a Computer Science degree. As a kid, she enjoyed playing in the ruins of Ollantaytambo near Macchu Picchu and dancing Marinera in Trujillo, Peru. There, she learned from the indigenous people, as well as her city teachers, about constellations. In her past roles in nonprofits in Washington state and California, she was always seeking to give back to her community. From this diverse upbringing, along with a desire to help and learn, she believes that by making knowledge accessible to everyone, we will all have a greater understanding of the cosmos, the world and each other.
