A career Federal civil servant and retired Army officer, Dr. Keith Steinhurst's academic and professional preparation integrates life, natural and behavioral sciences across multiple disciplines. Internationally recognized for achievement, his personal awards include: the Order of Military Medical Merit, Superior Civilian Service Award, Joint Civilian Achievement Award and the Meritorious Service Medal as well as State Orders of Merit and Pontifical Equestrian Orders. Regimentally affiliated to both the Army Medical Department and Chemical Corps Regiments, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine. As a JPL Solar System Ambassador, he shares his interest and enthusiasm in unmanned space exploration and space science with others - through ad hoc and scheduled educational activities, lectures, presentations, and symposia.
