Janine Bonham
Janine Bonham is a high school science teacher and online educator. She specializes in curriculum development in the areas of earth science, astronomy, biology and marine science. Janine regularly participates in citizen science projects to further her knowledge of science and to help her classroom participants contribute to the field of science. Janine’s experience as an educator originated in college by teaching fellow students as a laboratory assistant in both geology and biology science labs at Lafayette College where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Biology and Geosciences. She earned her Masters in Education at Lehigh University, and then moved to Hawaii to teach science. She taught on the Big Island of Hawaii for 12 years. Her career focus has been using outdoor field trip experiences to engage her students as well as using online technology tools to log and track data. Currently, Janine is teaching STEM classes at Oley Valley High School in Pennsylvania. She is also the creator of Learn the Sky, an online resource aimed to help others learn the constellations and how to navigate the sky.
