Solar System Ambassadors
Gary Barr
Gary has spent his life following NASA and its exploration of space. His first presentation was at age 11 when teachers had very little knowledge of the Space Shuttle program. He had his parents bring a TV in as he did a presentation to the class on the Space Shuttle followed by watching STS-2 launch live on TV. While his field of work is owning an IT and Cybersecurity company, along with being a career firefighter, he loves getting people to dream big. Even though he is not a licensed pilot, he has flown a Mustang-II, Piper Cherokee, and a Robinson R-44 helicopter with an instructor. But his greatest experience was flying aerobatics in a vintage WW2 aircraft, a North American T-6 Texan. Add on that he also coaches high school baseball, well, he's a real bucket list kind of guy, who wants to experience a wide range of things and loves to inspire others.
