Solar System Ambassadors
Aaron Slonecker
Between his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz and starting graduate school at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, Aaron Slonecker was a little league manager. During this time he realized that his passion in life was to combine his love of astronomy and space science with teaching and working with children. So while researching surface processes on Venus for his Masters Degree, he helped run the Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium. Later he worked at the Duluth Children's Museum where he created and ran programs for kids and families. Then, in 2014, he began working at the Anchorage Museum where he showcases art, science and history, and how all three subjects often overlap.
