Haley Palamos has had a lifelong interest in astronomy and learning more about space exploration missions. She received her B.S. in physics from the University of San Francisco and her M.S. in astronomy from San Diego State University where she studied binary star systems using data from the Kepler space mission. She is a substitute teacher in Seattle, teaching several science classes and one section of astronomy.
