Andrea Mangold
Andrea Mangold is the Supervisor for the STEAM program in the Council Rock School District. Andrea formerly taught 5th grade in Council Rock, and served on numerous advisory and development committees. Currently, Andrea oversees development and implementation of the STEAM curriculum. based on Pennsylvania's 2023 STEELS standards. Andrea also is an adjunct professor of Early Childhood Math and Science at the College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. Andrea is a graduate of Temple University (BS) and LaSalle University (M.Ed.). Andrea was named NAGST Teacher of the Year (2019) for her work in geoscience education. Andrea is an adjunct instructor at the College of New Jersey, working she also taught at LaSalle University and Bucks County Community College. Andrea is active in her community, and has served on the boards of multiple organizations. She attends NASA, GSA, and NOAA workshops in the summer and has also attended the launch of ULA's Delta 4B Heavy carrying Orion at Cape Canaveral, Florida. During Orion launch, she communicated live with her classroom of students who were watching the event on television in their Pennsylvania classroom. Andrea works with students in the NASA HUNCH program, as well as the Amateur Radio Club. She is a Space Station Ambassador, and also participates in the Civil Air Patrol AEM program and the STEAM in the Park Outdoor Teacher program. Andrea is deeply interested in space exploration and our solar system, and is passionately excited about sharing her experiences, resources, and stories with students and adults alike.
