Patrick Hess is the Planetarium Manager at the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium in Union Station Kansas City. For over a decade, he has been an engaged member of the Kansas City educational community, promoting space science literacy and serving as a resource for astronomical events. Patrick volunteers with local scouting organizations, including co-supervising the KC Girl Scouts Astronomy Club, and has been featured in many local publications and news segments as a voice of astronomy knowledge in the community. Outside of the planetarium, he spends his time on a variety of projects and passions, from music to 3D printing to virtual reality and beyond.
