Naveen Vetcha
Dr. Naveen Vetcha is an Aerospace Technologist at ERC Inc. supporting Jacobs ESSCA contract at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He supports NASA Centennial Challenges Program (CCP) as a challenge manager. CCP's goal is to leverage citizens, academia, and industry to help fill technology gaps that will enable human space exploration. Prior to this, he worked as liquid propulsion analyst on the same contract supporting the testing and analysis of RS-25 engine. Before entering propulsion world, he was a staff Engineer at ManTech (Nexolve), where he worked on the shape testing of James Webb Space Telescope's Sunshield. Before joining ManTech, he worked as an Application Engineer at ESI US R&D. He is a member of the Von Braun Astronomical Society (VBAS) of Huntsville and served as a board member of the society in various positions including the president and vice president. He is also a member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics(AIAA) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He is an amateur astronomer and is very actively involved in organizing Astronomy related public outreach events in and around Huntsville. Naveen obtained Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India, Master of Technology in Fluids and Thermal Sciences from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, and MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
