Lyndsi Hampton was born in Mansfield, Ohio and grew up bleeding Scarlet and Gray in the Buckeye State. At home experiments and stargazing were regular activities in her childhood. In 2004, she moved to Missouri where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. Lyndsi then spent her first four years teaching in a 5th grade classroom, where her passion for space grew. In 2012, Lyndsi moved to Boston, where she taught fifth grade for another 4 years. She currently teaches 5th grade in Columbus, Ohio, after moving closer to home and enjoys educating the future astronauts of the world. In June of 2015, she attended the Space Academy at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Space Camp added rocket fuel to her obsession with space and provided her with her favorite outfit, an astronaut's flight suit.
