Luis Gomez has been fascinated by astronomy and space exploration since childhood. He has found memories of seeing Comets Hale Bopp and ISON in the night sky. The New Horizons flyby of Pluto in 2015 was a source of excitement for him. He wants to share his passion for science and our universe with the people in his local community. He has been a member of the Astronomical Society of the Caribbean from 2013 until 2022. He is now a member of Asociación de Observación, Difusión Astronómica y Ciencias del Espacio(AODACE), and also a member of the Night Sky NetworK
