Joshua Ehrlich is currently working as a Systems Engineer on the Orion Program. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and went on to earn, with distinction, his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, completing his defense on Lagrangian-point propellant depots for missions to Mars. Prior to beginning his job on Orion, Joshua had worked at SpaceX and United Launch Alliance, as well as NASA at Kennedy Space Center, where he designed and tested micro-gravity plant growth science payloads for the International Space Station. In his spare time, Josh volunteers with high school students and young, underprivileged girls in the Denver metro area to promote and teach STEM subjects. Joshua is currently participating in an 8-month Mars simulation study for the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (HI-SEAS). He is serving as the Mission Specialist of Biology for the Mission V crew.
