Regina Conrad took solace in seeing Mars where it belonged during her first week in college, even though she did not remember why she knew where Mars belonged. She saw the moons of Jupiter for the first time on a cold December night in the Bronx, New York with binoculars. She spent her career as a research assistant in commercial semiconductor research and development facilities. In 2005, after viewing her first total solar eclipse, she started working weekends at the Andrus Planetarium in Yonkers, New York. A few years later, she was invited to be part of the Friday Night Astronomy series at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center in Stamford, Connecticut. In 2010, she had the opportunity to work on the NuSTAR optics. She has since moved to New Hampshire where she coordinates programs for the local library.
