The daughter of a high school teacher, Eileen Bradford was raised in rural Trinity County, California and attributes her love of field biology and environmental education to many formative experiences there. Trained as a field naturalist at Shasta College and Chico State, Eileen logged many miles on northern California's rivers, wilderness areas and lava beds, until she eventually decided to follow in her father's (and brother's) footsteps and become a public school teacher. Eileen has been fortunate to work with several small, rural communities in northern California, including the seven tribes in Covelo, the farm communities of Flournoy and Live Oak and in the rapidly growing urban Sacramento/Elk Grove area as well. When she's not with students, Eileen can be found developing curriculum to highlight local parks and reserves, or skiing, gardening, camping and kayaking with her spaniels and friends.|SOLAR SYSTEM AMBASSADOR MASTER TEACHER
