David Farina is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with an M.A. of Geosciences degree and Bachelors in Secondary Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He is currently employed by the Wilson School District in Sinking Spring, PA as a high school science teacher. In 2020 David started an educational website as well as a YouTube Channel focused on Astronomy, Geosciences, and the Universe around us. From 2008-2023 Dave taught at Manheim Township School District in Lancaster County, PA. Over the course of his tenure at Manheim Township High School, David has had the privilege of teaching many different science courses: Geology, Oceanography/Meteorology, Physical Science, and Environment and Ecology. He also served as the Planetarium Director for the school district and advisor to the MTHS Astronomy Club who meet and conduct community outreach in the form of star parties at the brand new MT SkyLab Observatory, which was funded via grants written by David Farina. David also served as planetarium director as his students presented highly engaging planetarium shows for the public. In addition to his professional teaching career, David also enjoys astronomy as a hobby and is an avid astrophotographer.
