As a child, Thomas Campbell remembers being glued to the TV watching the lunar landings. He has been interested in space and astronomy ever since. In the late 1990s, he began recording descriptions of his celestial observations in what he called StarLogs and posted them to his astronomy website and to various email groups. To date, Thomas has logged almost 500 different objects in the night sky. | |In 2003, Thomas was asked to develop an astronomy course to help fill out the college's online degree program. With no previous teaching experience, he built the course from scratch, achieved accreditation for it, and successfully taught it for several years.|Thomas has always looking for opportunities to set up his telescope and invite people to look at the wonders of the Universe. It is his hope that some of his passion for astronomy and space will rub off on the public he serves. |
