Damian Allis is a quantum chemist by profession, a drummer by practice, and an amateur astronomer at heart.|He currently directs a Syracuse-based amateur astronomy group dedicated to outreach through lectures and viewing events. He is also a member of several other Central New York clubs (Kopernik Astronomical Society, Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society, the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science) and encourage any and all to support their local societies through membership! Damian also volunteers his time at the Museum of Science and Technology (The MOST) in Syracuse. During the day (and overcast nights), he's a Research Professor of Chemistry at Syracuse University, Research Fellow with the Forensic and National Security Sciences Institute, bioinformaticist, and independent researcher in an international nanotechnology consortium. |
