GENESIS WEBCAST & NATIONAL ENGINEERS WEEK

GENESIS WEBCAST On February 21, 2002, Genesis recognized National Engineers Week by bringing engineers, a classroom teacher, and students together for a Webcast. The production featured a classroom activity titled "The Inclined Pendulum" from the upcoming Genesis Destination L1: A Thematic Unit education module. Engineers from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), including Trajectory Analyst Jennie Johannesen and Genesis Mission Project Manager Chet Sasaki, joined Alta Loma, CA high school teacher Tom Curley and students in an activity that examined the effect of gravity on skateboards AND planetary orbits!

Mathematics and science teachers, would you like to conduct the Webcast activity with your students? Here's how to participate. Print the teacher guide, student text, and student activity from this site.
