These are photos of one of the aerogel laboratories at the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, California, taken on November 21, 1997. Aerogel will be used on the STARDUST spacecraft to capture comet particles from Comet Wild-2. Clicking on any of the images will bring up a higher-resolution image.
