Stardust Status Report
November 27, 2002
The Stardust flight team had two periods of contact (Wednesday,
November 20, and Friday, November 22) with the spacecraft
during the past week using the antennas of the Deep Space Network.
During the first contact on November 20, the flight team performed
some preventative maintenance. A software patch was successfully uploaded
to correct what the team considered a potential minor problem in the
operating system software. Although this problem has not been seen during
the flight the Stardust team felt it could possibly manifest itself upon
a reboot of the spacecraft's flight computer.
Telemetry received from Stardust during both of this week's contacts
indicated all the spacecraft's systems and instruments were operating
properly. Collection of interstellar dust continues.
