Brian Kennedy is a senior engineer with the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory in the Navigation and Trajectory
Design section.
He received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences
from the University of Colorado in Boulder in
1993. He joined JPL in 1996 as a full-time employee,
and has since been involved with several missions.
He has been involved in flight software development,
integration and test for the autonomous navigation
software used on board Deep Space 1 and Deep Impact.
He has served as an Orbit Determination (OD) analyst
for the TOPEX/Poseidon, DS1 and Mars Odyssey navigation
teams. He has also developed rover landing site
analysis tools used for the MER missions.
Presently he is a member of the Stardust Navigation
team, providing Radio OD support for the upcoming
encounter with Comet Wild-2.
